How did we end up in Show Low AZ?

and why do we LOVE what we do!

Our story starts several thousands of miles from here.  It starts on an island in the Gulf of Alaska, Kodiak Island.  Steve and Marilyn (the owners) purchased a retirement property in Eastern Arizona.  They had wanted a business to help fund this property and their retirement. Their daughter, Adria had been working as an office manager in a chiropratic clinic. Her boyfriend, Mike Bosley (aka Bosley) was working as a commercial fisherman in the open waters of the frigid north pacific. At a dinner Steve and Marilyn asked Adria and Bosley if they wanted to move to Arizona.  Eager to do something new in a new community, Adria and Bosley said “Yes!” Now, being from Alaska they all knew and had a love for coffee and pure water.

On December 01, 2011 Adria and Bosley took over the small water company known as White Mountain Purified Water and Ice. After several months, the business was able to start water delivery to business and shortly later they added home delivery to their services. Now at this time the shop was tucked away behind Show Low Ford on Adams St.  Steve and Marilyn had purchased 360 S. White Mountain Rd. in the early stages of the moving to Arizona with the dream of turning this dingy corner into a coffee drive thru.  In March of 2013 the move from the industrial park to White Mountain road was complete and not only did the Water and Ice store move, but they also introduced The Pour Station.

A unique shop that not only offers the finest coffee, but several cookies and pastires, all with the warmth of a coffee shop unlike anywhere on the Mountain! Throughout the shop you can notice hints of Alaska, from a photo album to several comic books that highlight life in the Tundra, all the way to a spectacular sculpture of a fishermans icon – a jellyfish.  Not only does this shop have a cozy and inviting feeling with free Wi-Fi, but ALL of their coffee is brewed with the pure water of White Mountain Purified Water and Ice.  The difference of brewing the best coffee with the purest water is one that you HAVE to try for yourself! From iced coffee, to espresso and frappes, to just a good cup of black coffee, The Pour Station has something for you. But The Pour Station is not only your home for THE BEST COFFEE, they have smoothies with fresh seasonal fruit, and herbal teas that are sure to spice up any mood.

Adria and Mike are firm believers in shopping local and being a part of this community they now call home. “After living on an island you learn how important your neighbors can be, and being part of a small community is what we love.” From the fun of Show Low Days and other Festivals like Medevil Mayhem, White Mountain Purified Water and Ice and The Pour Station, are sure to be where you go.  Adria is the co-chair Ambassador of the Show Low Chamber Commerce Ambassador Program and is a large part of the business networking group, BNG of the White Mountains. Bosley is on the committee for Derby Down the Deuce, the President of the A-team for the Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce, and the President of the Board of Directors for BNG of the White Mountains. Adria and Bosley some how find time for all these other activities, while letting 2 beautiful black lab mixes run their lives. Sultry and Zacher love being in the store when they can, and if they aren’t there you will notice their dog bed in the corner.  All of our family is big dog lovers, and so you will notice the free dog treats next to the register. These tasty treats are Yummy Chummies, using fresh Alaskan Salmon, to remind you of the underlining Alaskan theme.
