Open Position: Event Coordinator
The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is accepting applications from candidates to fill the part-time position of event coordinator at the chamber offices working closely with our director and Welcome Center greeter. A successful candidate will start at $12.50 per hour, with opportunities to earn commissions.
Event Coordinator Job Description
The Pinetop-Lakeside Chamber of Commerce event coordinator supports the Chamber’s director in arranging chamber events. This includes a variety of tasks requiring phone skills, computer skills, and people skills. You will attend most of the chamber’s events, which will require some evenings, holidays, or weekends.
Additional duties will include:
- Managing small and large events from planning to execution
- Office tasks such as typing/computer skills, filing and general organization, record keeping, license and insurance applications
- Engaging and managing vendors
- Location and set-up planning and execution
- On-site vendor/visitor management
We hold several major events—including the High Mountain Beer & Music Fest (500 – 700 attendees), Mutt Strutt (500 – 700 attendees and their dogs), and Fall Artisans Festival (4500 attendees)—as well as monthly networking/business meetings, a weekly casual networking event, and many minor events, including Putt Putt Pub Crawl, Chamber Flicks, Annual Member Celebration, and a holiday party.
